CPT Corbin Heard

CPT Corbin Heard entered active duty in the United States Army in 2008 and later commissioned as an officer through the Army Green to Gold Program upon graduation from Idaho State University in 2018. As an aviation officer and prior enlisted explosive ordnance disposal Soldier, he has served in a variety of leadership, tactical, aviation, training, and instructional assignments throughout his career.

CPT Heard has commanded at the company level, most recently as commander of Bravo Company, 2-13th Aviation Regiment at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He has also served as an aviation platoon leader, company executive officer, pilot in command, air mission commander, and explosive ordnance disposal platoon sergeant/team leader. His aviation experience includes training on multiple rotary and fixed-wing platforms, including the CH-47F Chinook, MC-12, and Global 6500.

Prior to assuming duties as a faculty member in the Department of Physical Education at the United States Military Academy, CPT Heard completed graduate study at Texas A&M University in kinesiology. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a bachelor of science from Idaho State University, and an associate of arts from American Military University.

CPT Heard is happily married to his wife, Margaret. Team Heard are the proud parents of two children.
