As an intelligence officer, he has served in the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade and deployed to Afghanistan as the S-2 for an Attack Battalion. Most recently, he has commanded two companies for the Army’s Intelligence Center of Excellence and developed modernized courseware for military intelligence lieutenants.He holds a master’s degree in democracy and governance from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Oregon.CPT McDowell is married to his wife, Lindsey, of Beaverton, Oregon.
