It takes a team to ensure the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point can fulfill its mission to build, educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets. There are roles for military and civilian faculty to teach cadets and for those both in and out of uniform to ensure the systems and processes required to operate a military installation and college campus are in place and running efficiently.
Working at USMA at West Point is a personally and professionally rewarding experience. West Point employs a number of military staff and faculty in a variety of roles - both inside and outside of the classroom. Regardless of the position, teaching at USMA means developing the next generation of Army officers as well as being part of the intellectual center of the Army at a unique, historic post about one hour from New York City. Military faculty do NOT need to be West Point graduates to apply.
Non-Commissioned Officers can serve at USMA in several capacities - each instrumental in the development of the next generation of Army officers. NCOs selected for a tour at West Point are leaders in their career field. The assignment is highly selective and extremely rewarding.
Civilians can serve at USMA in the classroom as faculty, or in various other roles supporting the systems and processes required to operate a college campus and robust military installation.
